Agroland Group, a Romanian entrepreneurial business with interests in retail, agribusiness, food production, and animal nutrition, has announced a 23% increase in net profit to RON 12 million (€2.43 million) during H1 2025 versus the same period of last year.

The company's sales reached RON 229 million (€46.4 million), an 11% rise compared to the same period in 2024. Operating profit also saw a significant jump of 33%, reaching RON 19.5 million (€3.95 million).

Horia Cardoș, Founder and CEO of Agroland Group, said: "The results obtained in the first six months reconfirm the robustness and resilience of the Agroland Group business model. The Retail, Food, and Agribusiness divisions delivered the best first half in the company's history, strengthening the basis for medium-term strategic objectives."

The positive results were reflected across the company's key business divisions. The food division's poultry platform sold 38.7 million eggs, a 27% increase from the first half of 2024, with revenue from egg sales growing by 52% to RON 31.6 million (€6.4 million). The retail division also performed well, with net sales of RON 177.1 million (€35.9 million), an 11% increase, and a 12% growth in customer numbers, reaching 2.1 million people.

Despite a strategic decline in agricultural input revenue, which fell by 23% to RON 24.3 million (€4.9 million) due to the suspension of grain trading to third parties and a drop in seed sales, the company maintained strong overall financial discipline.

The company's investment plans include a €20 million greenfield project for its poultry platform and an expansion of its store network to 300 locations by 2028.
