Romanian engineering group Simtel Team has reported a 68% year-on-year surge in preliminary consolidated operating revenue for 2025, reaching RON 605.7 million (€121.7 million).

However, the group's net profit fell by 76% to RON 8.9 million (€1.8 million), down from RON 36.8 million (€7.4 million) in 2024.

This decline reflects the company's "proactive sizing" for an annual activity volume exceeding RON 900 million (€180.9 million), which resulted in a temporarily lower absorption of indirect costs.

The top-line growth was supported by core operations, which increased 69% to RON 598.4 million (€120.3 million). This expansion was offset by an 88% rise in operating expenses, totaling RON 586.2 million (€117.8 million). As a result, the operating result decreased by 60% to RON 19.4 million (€3.9 million). Financial results also impacted the bottom line, with losses widening by 141% to RON 8.4 million (€1.7 million).

On the balance sheet, total liabilities climbed 127% to RON 511.1 million (€102.7 million), primarily to finance large-scale photovoltaic projects like the 52 MWp Giurgiu park. Cash and cash equivalents dropped by 72% to RON 8.5 million (€1.7 million) as liquidity was deployed for working capital and investments.

For 2026, the group targets core revenues of RON 907 million (€182.3 million) and an EBITDA of RON 70.9 million (€14.3 million).
