SAT Reabilitare Reciclare, a subsidiary of construction group Strabag, inaugurated Romania's largest and most technologically advanced bitumen emulsion production facility.
Located in Crișeni, Sălaj County, the new plant has a production capacity of 15 tons per hour and was established through a direct investment of approximately €2.2 million.
Dr. Hans Kirchknopf, SAT Technical Managing Director, said: "This investment represents an important step in consolidating our position as a regional leader in road recycling and rehabilitation. It strengthens both our ability to deliver modern solutions swiftly and our long-term commitment to sustainability and innovation."
The new production unit will meet growing demand for sustainable development of road infrastructure throughout Romania and CEE.
In 2023, SAT Reciclare Reabilitare reported a turnover of RON 111 million (€22.3 million).
