Ceres Pharma, a Belgian pharmaceutical group, has announced the official completion of the integration process between its Romanian subsidiaries, Dacia Plant and Viva Pharma.

This strategic consolidation, which began in October 2024, concludes with the two entities officially merging under the new name Ceres Pharma Romania.

Viva Pharma was acquired by Ceres Pharma NV in 2019, followed by Dacia Plant in 2022.

Ceres Pharma Romania now includes an extensive portfolio encompassing food supplements, medical devices, and cosmetic products.

In 2024, Viva Pharma and Dacia Plant reported combined gross sales exceeding €33.4 million, with over 11 million units sold.

Valentin Hagiu will lead Ceres Pharma Romania as General Manager, tasked with implementing a commercial strategy through integrated portfolios and a unified marketing and distribution approach.

"We are targeting a 14.6% increase in sales in 2025 through integrated commercial and marketing strategies and clear long-term development plans for the Romanian market,” says Hagiu.

In addition to its commercial operations, Ceres Pharma Romania includes the Ceres Pharma Manufacturing production unit in Bod, Brașov County, which will continue to serve as a key production hub for both the Romanian and export markets.
