Romanian private healthcare operator MedLife has launched the new Institute of Orthopaedics, located within the MedLife Medici's Hospital in Timișoara.
The new centre will merge top-tier medical expertise with cutting-edge robotic surgery technologies and digital solutions for diagnosis and training.
“It's the first time a Romanian hospital, whether public or private, is performing exclusively robotic orthopaedic interventions, a significant step towards safer, more predictable, and more personalised medicine for patients," says Prof. Dr. Radu Prejbeanu, the Project Coordinator.
The MedLife Group's investments cover surgical robotics, advanced imaging, AI, and genetics.
In the field of orthopaedics alone, the group has pioneered the introduction of robotic systems for knee and hip surgery in Romania, which helps facilitate faster recovery and significantly reduces post-operative risks.
