Romanian producer Aeta, former Electroargeș, has terminated its contract with Beko Romania following a commercial dispute over pricing adjustments for 2025 and 2026.
The termination agreement was signed on 1 October 2025, with production continuing until the end of December 2025.
Under the termination agreement, Beko Romania paid Aeta a total of €430,500 in three instalments. The payments included €200,000 paid on 6 October 2025, €120,500 paid by 20 October 2025, and €110,000 related to a final invoice. Aeta confirmed that all amounts have been fully paid.
The contract termination was driven by disagreements over price adjustment mechanisms amid rising production costs. "The divergences regarding the price adjustment mechanism made it impossible to continue the commercial relationship under economically sustainable conditions for Aeta," the company stated, noting it could not operate at a loss for this client.
The end of the Beko relationship does not affect Aeta's operational continuity, as it forms part of a broader strategic reconfiguration initiated in 2025. Since July-August 2025, Aeta has launched its own product lines, including the P Box modular waste collection system and the Wave Bin reinforced waste container.
Aeta is pursuing client diversification and increasing volumes with existing customers to compensate for the terminated contract. The strategy aims to ensure financial sustainability, increase commercial independence and optimise revenue structure through competitive proprietary products and an expanded partner network.
