Digi Communications has officially entered the United Kingdom telecommunications market through a strategic acquisition in southern England.

On 19 March 2026, the company's wholly owned British subsidiary, Fiber One, acquired a 51% shareholding in Whyfibre Limited.

Whyfibre Limited currently owns a fibre network under deployment across the counties of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Following the acquisition, Fiber One will serve as the operator of this network. The company intends to begin providing fixed broadband services on a pilot basis in the near future, marking the first operational step for the Romanian-headquartered provider in the UK.
