National Golf & Country Club (NGCC), the largest golf club in South-East Europe, is set for its official inauguration in early summer.
Located just 30 kM from Bucharest, in Niculești commune, Dâmbovița County, the complex spans an area of 75 hectares. NGCC boasts an 18-hole professional golf course, designed by Stirling & Martin Golf Course Architects.
The complex also features a residential ensemble comprising 173 villas and 111 apartments, a luxury restaurant, a dedicated corporate and private events space, as well as areas for other sports and leisure activities.
The course has been open to professional and amateur players since last summer, having already hosted over 35 local and international tournaments. These events attracted over 4,300 individual players and more than 1,300 tournament participants from Romania, other European countries, the UK, and Asia.
"This launch comes at a time when luxury and premium experiences are becoming increasingly visible locally, through projects such as the Corinthia hotel or luxury stores like Zegna and Louis Vuitton. In short, together we aim to bring as many sports, business, and artistic elites to Bucharest, in Romania," stated Metin Doğan, Founder of National Golf & Country Club.
With an initially announced value of €60 million, the project represents one of the most substantial private investments in Romanian sport.
