Grup Șerban Holding announced that its subsidiary Interagroaliment has filed for insolvency proceedings on April 15, 2026, due to financial difficulties.

The move aims to enable reorganization and recovery within a controlled framework while ensuring business continuity.

Interagroaliment has already implemented restructuring measures, including discontinuing its grain trading activity, which was the main business line generating losses. The company has also reduced personnel, preserved its transport fleet, and partially conserved storage facilities.

"The company has retained only those business lines expected to generate added value, resizing the related assets and workforce to the strictly necessary level," said the company in a statement.

Additional measures include implementing a cost monitoring system, negotiating with suppliers for better commercial terms, and revising the crop plan to align with actual financing capacity. The company has also identified assets for monetization to support liquidity and is in discussions with financing partners.

Grup Șerban Holding shares were down 7.7% to RON 0.89 on Friday morning trading on the BVB.
