Greenvolt Next, part of the Greenvolt Group, has completed a new photovoltaic power plant integrated with a high-performance energy storage system for Abund Berry, a company specializing in wild berry processing.
The completed solar power plant boasts a 512 kWp installed peak capacity and is paired with an advanced 400 kWh battery energy storage system.
The project operates under a 7-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), granting Abund Berry access to green energy with no upfront investment. The system is projected to generate over 611,000 kWh annually. Over its 25-year operational lifetime, the company is estimated to save more than €1.5 million.
Filipe Dias, Country Manager Greenvolt Next, said: “A solar system with battery storage is the optimal solution for ensuring flexibility and efficiency, and with the declining costs of such technologies, it now represents a sound and profitable investment.”
Greenvolt Next, operating in the Distributed Generation segment across 12 European markets and Indonesia, is a global leader in 100% renewable energy and part of the Greenvolt Group.
In 2025 alone, Greenvolt Next Romania has secured over 100 contracts for decentralized energy projects and installed more than 20 MW of capacity.
