Ker Toki Power (Toki Power), the energy trading division of the Vienna-based renewables and e-mobility investment group Renalfa Solarpro Group (Renalfa), has successfully acquired a 150 MW standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Romania.
The acquisition was advised by the legal firm Nyerges & Partners, with their legal assistance covering all stages of the process.
The new BESS asset is expected to become operational by Q4 2026. It is designed to provide fast-response flexibility and grid support services, which will help the Romanian electricity system integrate a higher amount of renewable energy.
Toki Power offers route-to-market and optimisation solutions across Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia, Romania, and Hungary. The company's clients in the region have a combined portfolio that exceeds 1.5 GW of installed capacity of renewable assets and 1.3 GWh of operational BESS.
