The Romanian leu depreciated on Wednesday against the euro, which was calculated by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) at RON 5.2688, up 0.97% from the previous rate, recording a new historic high.
The leu also lost ground against the US dollar, which was quoted at RON 4.4746, up 0.2% compared to Tuesday.ei.
The national currency depreciated against the Swiss franc as well, calculated by BNR at RON 5.7429, up 0.8% from the previous rate.
Gold increased to RON 676.07 per gram, from RON 653.58 in the previous session.
