Olympus Foods România has begun construction of a new warehouse at its Brașov Dairy Factory, with an investment of €7.5 million.

The new building will cover 7,100 sqm and is designed to expand production and storage capacities, with completion scheduled for December 2026.

The project comes just over a year after the inauguration of a logistics centre worth over €40 million, featuring a total area of 13,500 sqm and a high-bay cold storage facility with capacity for over 32,000 pallets.

With the start of work on the new warehouse, total investments at the Brașov Dairy Factory since its opening in 2011 reach €217.5 million. Over the past five years, investments in developing production and storage capacities have totalled €70.7 million.

"The new investment aims to expand production and delivery capacities, given growing demand for the company's products across multiple European markets," said Dimitrios Kelas, General Director of Olympus Foods România.

The new warehouse is designed to meet energy efficiency requirements and responsible resource use, in line with previous investments at the Brașov factory. Already implemented projects include a biogas extraction station from wastewater, installation of a photovoltaic system and introduction of r-PET packaging for milk and yogurt products.
