Vodafone Romania has completed the merger of Evotracking and iSYS Professional, two wholly-owned technology entities, into a single company operating under the commercial name Evogps powered by iTrack.
The merger represents a strategic step in consolidating Vodafone's position in the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions market and fleet management software for companies.
The merger creates an integrated organisation with extended capabilities in monitoring and fleet management for all client segments, route planning and optimisation, and development of customised software solutions built on modern technologies and high security standards.
"We are building a stronger entity that combines local expertise in software and IoT with Vodafone's global infrastructure and capabilities, to deliver complete, scalable solutions with real impact on operational efficiency," said Alexandru Baloi, Director Enterprise Business Unit, Vodafone Romania.
Following the merger, Evotracking will operate a portfolio of over 100,000 monitored vehicles, alongside technical capabilities that allow addressing increasingly complex operational requirements.
The companies plan to create a Centre of Excellence for IoT solutions, develop new revenue streams through digital services, and consolidate their leading position in Romania's fleet management solutions market.
