Private healthcare operator Regina Maria has opened the largest medical recovery pool in Southeast Europe at its new Kinetic Flagship clinic in Bucharest, following an investment of nearly €4 million.
"In the Regina Maria 3.0 phase, we are putting Romania on the European health map and building the future of medicine in our country," said Fady Chreih, CEO of Regina Maria Health Network. "Through the Kinetic network, we define the new standard in physical therapy for our patients, and the new facility becomes another important landmark in the region."
The 2,100 sqm clinic features two hydrotherapy pools - one for adults and children, and one for babies - alongside a medical robotics studio, salt room, infrared sauna, sensory studio for children, and individual physiotherapy cabinets. The facility also includes a biomechanics and postural analysis studio.
Hydrotherapy offers unique treatment benefits through water's physical properties including buoyancy, hydrostatic pressure, movement resistance and constant thermal effect. The buoyancy reduces gravitational impact on joints, allowing movements with reduced effort, while hydrostatic pressure helps reduce swelling and stimulates blood circulation.
"We are constantly strengthening our medical recovery services, and hydrotherapy is an essential part of the recovery process for many patients," said Mihai Popa, Operational Director of Kinetic. "The latest generation technologies and multidisciplinary teams from Kinetic clinics support our patients step by step, offering them a complete medical experience."
The Kinetic national network currently includes 5 clinics in Bucharest, Cluj and Iași, with expansion plans for Timișoara. The total area dedicated to medical recovery exceeds 5,300 sqm, with a team of 300 employees and collaborators. By 2024, over 93,000 patients had used Kinetic services, including 18,000 new patients.
