An important step in the integration process is the merger of the two companies, set for the end of 30 June 2026. Following the implementation of the merger, Vodafone will take over Telekom's rights and obligations.
Customers will continue to benefit from the services they enjoy today, as well as access to a mobile network at higher standards. At the same time, interaction will become simpler through the consolidation of contact points, including in stores, call centres and the digital environment.
This stage supports Vodafone's strategy of investment in infrastructure and innovation and ensures better connectivity for customers through higher speeds, extended coverage and access to latest generation technology. "The implementation of the merger with Telekom represents a moment for Vodafone and our long-term investment journey in Romania," said Nedim Baytorun, CEO Vodafone România. "From 30 June 2026, we enter a new stage where we focus on network development, innovation and strengthening customer interaction."
Through this step, Vodafone România reconfirms its promise to continue investments in Romania's digital future, based on latest generation technology and expertise accumulated in the telecommunications field.
