Cushman & Wakefield Echinox has been appointed to sell Joyson Safety Systems' industrial property in Ribiţa, Hunedoara County, as the automotive safety components manufacturer consolidates operations at its Arad hub.

The decision to sell the facility comes as Joyson Safety Systems focuses production of integrated automotive safety solutions for major original equipment manufacturers in Western Europe at its Arad location. The Ribiţa plant previously manufactured steering wheels and seat belts.

Located 4.5 km from Brad and 40 km from Deva, the property offers access to the A1 motorway, part of Pan-European Corridor IV connecting Constanţa to Arad and Western European markets. The facility spans 6.5 hectares and includes 15,000 sqm across three buildings for production, research and storage, plus 2,000 sqm of office and social areas.

"The industrial and logistics sector remains the most active segment of the real estate market, but we are witnessing a transformation driven by the need for operational efficiency," said Rodica Târcavu, Partner Industrial Agency at Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. She noted that facilities like Ribiţa, which are production-ready, offer investors quick operationalisation in a challenging global context.

The property features industrial ventilation systems, epoxy flooring, laboratory and research areas, and hydrant networks, making it suitable for immediate operation by new manufacturers.
