AHK Romania names new President

Volker Raffel, CEO of E.ON Romania, has been elected as the new President of the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania). He succeeds Andreas Lier (BASF) in this role.

The decision was made during a meeting of the AHK Romania Board of Directors. Raffel has been actively involved in the Chamber's activities since 2021, when he was elected as a board member.

He is joined in the Board of Directors by AHK Romania GM Sebastian Metz, and Vice-Presidents Petru Rușeț (Siemens Energy Romania) and Gunter Krasser (Infineon Technologies Romania).

AHK Romania brings together over 680 members, representing approximately 240,000 employees in German-capital companies active across more than 150 economic sectors.
