Restart Energy completed two photovoltaic projects for Com Divers

Business Forum
Restart Energy has completed the construction and installation of two photovoltaic projects for Com Divers company, worth over €300,000. The beneficiary's investment will pay for itself in approximately 3 years. The rooftop projects have a combined power of 416 kWp and were installed on the roof of two industrial warehouses belonging to the beneficiary, located in Pitești, Argeș county, and Budești commune, Valcea county.

The two photovoltaic plants consist of 928 panels covering a total area of 3,200 square meters. The panels will produce a total of 416 MWh of energy per year, which is about 60% of the company's energy needs.

The solar panels reduce the amount of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere by about 160 tonnes per year and radioactive waste by 1.4 kg per year.

Carbon emission reductions through the implementation of solar energy projects will be monitored through the RED platform, implemented in 2021, a marketplace dedicated to carbon footprint calculation, carbon emission reduction through sustainability projects or carbon footprint offsetting. Green attributes, both those obtained for individual sustainable actions and carbon credits, can be sold internally through the RED platform marketplaces, through a technologized, transparent, and secure process dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and improving ESG policies.

„Photovoltaic panels ensure decentralization. The operational and financial benefits are obvious, and on the other hand, we contribute to protecting the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint”, says Daniel Lazăr, Com Divers Administrator.

„Easy and plentiful access to cheap, renewable sources of energy of our own is essential to sustain a modern industry. Sustainable, green, solar energy, whether rooftop or ground-mounted, offers the customer cost predictability and energy savings in their processes of around 50%. Solar energy projects implemented by Restart Energy to date, through the Solar Division, have produced approximately 20.54 Gwh of green energy, and by 2024 our goal is to double that amount”, says Armand Domuța, CEO & Founder Restart Energy.

Restart Energy provided the entire energy efficiency project for the beneficiary company, from consulting and design to implementation.

In January 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies of Washington DC to finance the development of 500 MW of renewable projects in Romania by 2025, in order to supply 100% locally produced green energy to all end customers.

In February 2021, Restart Energy successfully launched the first convertible green bond issue in Romania to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange with the code REO26.
