BT Leasing and OTP Leasing finalises merger

Banca Transilvania Group announces the first merger of OTP Group's subsidiaries acquired this year: BT Leasing and OTP Leasing. 

"The merger with OTP Leasing will help BT Leasing strengthen its market position, expand its customer base and diversify its alternative finance offering, in addition to our above-market organic growth. BT Leasing has now assets of €1.2 billion, 35,000 customers, 45,000 contracts and almost 350 employees. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this integration," said Ionuț Morar, General Manager, BT Leasing.  

BT Leasing has so far acquired four companies, OTP Leasing (2024), Tiriac Leasing (2022), Idea::Leasing (2021) and ERB Leasing (2018). 

OTP Bank Romania customers can use their cards

Recently, the bank announced that OTP Bank Romania customers can use cards issued by OTP Bank Romania to withdraw cash and check their balance at Banca Transilvania ATMs under the same cost conditions as at OTP Bank Romania ATMs.

For OTP Bank Romania customers - individuals and companies - this facility offered by BT means more than 1,900 additional ATMs in 350 locations for basic operations. Details of the BT ATM network can be found on the BT website.

This is the first facility for OTP Bank Romania customers announced by the two banks since the start of their integration into the Banca Transilvania Group.

OTP Bank Romania has over 380,000 cards issued and almost 150 ATMs in 83 locations.

Banca Transilvania acquired OTP Bank Romania at the end of July 2024, and the integration into the BT Group is ongoing. During this period, BT and OTP Bank Romania are operating separately, and OTP Bank Romania customers still have to contact the respective bank.
