EGV invests €1.5 million in YOX job marketplace

Business Forum
Early Game Ventures (EGV) has announced a new seed investment of €1.5 million in the YOX startup, a job marketplace that uses AI to streamline the hiring process for blue-collar jobs. The funding round is intended to support the company's international expansion.

By leveraging a complex geo-located infrastructure that considers over 200 criteria, YOX guides candidates through the hiring process via a simple voice conversation. This has allowed the company to implement a "pay-per-candidate" pricing model for the first time, where employers only pay for qualified candidates who are ready to work immediately.

Cristian Munteanu, Managing Partner of EGV, said: “YOX caught our attention from the very beginning (...) Not because they were the only ones trying to solve the systemic problem of the blue-collar labor market (...) But because their solution was finally the right one," he said.

Law firm DLA Piper Romania team coordinated the international team involved in the transaction, which also included DLA Piper Palo Alto and YOX's legal counsel.
