The German tech company cbs purchased the SAP division of Romanian company SkyConsult, marking its entry into the local market.

The launch of its Romanian branch marks a strategic step in the company's international expansion, joining a network of over 35 locations across Europe, the US, Malaysia, and beyond.

Law firm bpv Grigorescu Ștefănică worked with cbs on the deal.

“This was an exceptionally challenging transaction. The project combined brownfield and greenfield elements, making the launch of cbs operations in Romania strategically crucial,” said Cristina Daianu, Partner at bpv Grigorescu Ștefănică.

cbs is part of the Materna Group and employs over 1,600 people across Europe, Asia, and the US.
