LIBERTY Galați announces new management team

Steel producer LIBERTY Galați has announced significant changes to its executive management team and board, aiming to consolidate operations and maximize production performance as part of its ongoing restructuring plan.

Radu Ionescu is stepping down as GM of LIBERTY Galați and Tubular, but will continue to support the company as a trusted advisor and partner. Ajay Aggarwal (in photo), Chairman of the Board of LIBERTY Galați, will assume the role of Interim GM. Aggarwal brings 35 years of experience in international trading, finance, and operations.

In a further strategic move, LIBERTY Galați has appointed Oana Petrescu to its Board of Administration. A seasoned business professional with 30 years of experience in finance and business restructuring, Petrescu played a crucial role in developing the restructuring plan. 

The management team also includes renowned Romanian steel industry professionals: Cornel Moisescu, promoted to Head of Production, who will oversee the entire production flow, and Aida Nechifor, newly appointed Head of Finance. 

LIBERTY Galați has also launched a recruitment process for a permanent GM and other key leadership positions to guide the company into its next phase.
