Societe Generale Global Solution Centre names new CEO in Romania

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) Romania has announced the appointment of Laurent Mirjol as its new CEO, replacing Philippe Gabulon, who is stepping down in July after more than 30 years with the Group.

Mirjol will be responsible for overseeing the centre's activities and developing strategies to enhance efficiency, performance, and value creation for the Societe Generale Group. 

He brings over two decades of experience in operations management and strategic transformation, with a proven track record in driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence. 

The executive joined Societe Generale in 2001, holding various positions, notably within Investment Banking. Between 2017 and 2022, he served as Global Chief Operating Officer for Global Banking Technology & Operations.

Established in Romania in 2011, SG GSC functions as a vital service hub for the Societe Generale Group, providing high-quality professional services across various fields globally. 

With a team of 2,800 experts, the company supports over 35 countries across all major business lines of Societe Generale.
