Investors in Romanian funds are heading towards 1 million

The number of fund investors is approaching the one million mark, a level which will most likely be reached in April, given that at the end of January there were already 913,000 investors, according to Jan Pricop, the executive director of the Association of Fund Administrators (AAF).

According to him, the number of investors in Q4 2024 was 812,226, up 37.8% compared to the same period of the previous year and 7.6% compared to the previous quarter. 

"We are very optimistic that we will reach one million investors as soon as possible and hope to reach it by Easter," Pricop mentioned, at an event organised at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), according to Agerpres.

Also, during Q4 2024, net assets of RON 24.44 billion (€4.9 billion) were recorded, an annual increase of 30%, and a 2.4% increase compared to the previous quarter. 

Net inflows were RON 783 million (€157million), up 7.4% compared to the same period of 2023, but down 39% compared to the previous quarter.
