Business Forum
Photon Energy and Hyperion Renewables have announced the signing of an EPC contract for a 34 MW photovoltaic project in Săliște, Romania.

The project, developed by Hyperion Renewables, is set to expand to a total capacity of 38 MW through further collaboration between the two companies.

Photon Energy will handle the design, technology procurement, and construction of the solar facility. The project marks a significant milestone for Hyperion, as it is the first to advance to the construction phase from their Romanian pipeline.

Construction is scheduled to start in Q3 2025, with commercial operations expected to begin by Q3 2026. Photon Energy will also provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the first three years of the plant's operation.

“Our expertise in EPC and O&M, combined with Hyperion's strategic investment, ensures a strong foundation for the successful construction and operation of this facility. We are committed to creating value for our partners, supporting regional economic growth, and advancing Romania's renewable energy targets," said Georg Hotar, CEO of Photon Energy Group.

The project is anticipated to generate 35 to 50 local jobs throughout its lifecycle.
