The latest series of Fidelis government bonds, issued by the Ministry of Finance, have been listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

The bonds, issued in October, are collectively worth almost RON 2.2 billion (around €442.2 million), marking the 29th such offering since August 2020. Trading for the new issues commenced on October 23.

The ninth offering of the year saw the Ministry of Finance attract RON 946.8 million (around €190.4 million) and €246.1 million through seven issues aimed at retail investors.

This brings the total amount raised from retail investors since the Fidelis program began to RON 59.2 billion (around €11.9 billion), with over 30%—specifically RON 18.3 billion (around €3.6 billion) or €3.6 billion—attracted this year alone.

Romanians placed over 21,000 subscription orders for both RON- and EUR-denominated government bonds during the primary selling offer, which ran from October 10 to 17 through the BVB's system.
