The IPO includes seven bond issues - three denominated in EUR and four in RON.
Through the previous 34 offerings, the Ministry of Finance has raised over RON 66 billion (more than €13.3 billion) from individual investors. The bonds can be purchased through an intermediary consortium led by BT Capital Partners, which includes BCR, BRD, TradeVille and UniCredit Bank as intermediaries, plus BT and Libra Internet Bank in the distribution group.
Trading of the new bonds is expected to begin on April 27. Income from Fidelis government bonds, including both interest payments and capital gains, remains exempt from taxation.
This marks the 35th offering since the Fidelis program resumed in July 2020.
