Digi Communications explores IPO for Spanish unit

Business Forum
Digi Communications continues to explore strategic options for its Spanish operations, including a potential initial public offering (IPO) of its subsidiary Digi Spain Telecom.

The Romanian telecommunications company reported that exploratory discussions regarding a potential IPO have received positive investor response, with recognition of Digi Spain's growth prospects and strategic value in the Spanish market.

"During the exploratory discussions regarding a potential initial public offering investor response has been positive, recognising Digi Spain's growth prospects and the value of the strategy it is implementing in Spain," said the company in a BVB statement.

However, the company noted that current market instability means such a transaction is not imminent. Digi Communications and its Spanish subsidiary will continue monitoring developments in the global environment and capital markets to assess the timing for a potential transaction.

The announcement comes as part of Digi Communications' ongoing evaluation of strategic options for its international operations, with Spain representing a key growth market for the telecommunications provider.
