MedLife completes acquisition of Routine Med group in Tulcea

Business Forum
MedLife, the market leader in private healthcare, announces the completion of the acquisition of Routine Med in Tulcea. As a result, the group is expanding its national footprint in the South-East, where it is already present with collection points, a laboratory in Constanta, as well as three hyperclinics in Constanta, Galati and Braila, being the operator with the largest ecosystem of integrated diagnostic and treatment services in Romania.

The Routine Med Group includes a hospital unit equipped with an operating theater, a day and continuous hospitalization compartment, along with a generous outpatient area. Patients in Dobrogea have access to over 20 medical and surgical specialties, including dentistry and medical optics. Hospital and outpatient services are complemented by laboratory and medical imaging. According to company representatives, Routine Med's turnover in 2023 exceeded RON 15 million.

"At the moment, if a patient in Romania wants to use MedLife services, they can reach a unit in the network within an hour's drive. We pride ourselves on being so close to those in need of help and on being the only private medical operator present with hospitals or large clinics in all cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants. This does not mean that we neglect those in smaller towns, on the contrary, which is also attested by the acquisition of this group in Tulcea. Thanks to it, patients in the south-east of Romania will benefit from more than 20 medical and surgical specialties, including medical optics and dentistry," said Mihai Marcu President and CEO MedLife Grup.

"We are pleased that Routine Med has evolved from modest beginnings - an analysis laboratory founded in Sulina - to a group with a turnover of more than three million euros. We know MedLife's track record, we know that it has the largest portfolio of acquisitions on the Romanian healthcare market and we see the partnership with this group as a new and promising stage in the development of our business," said Mihai Pavel, founder of Routine Med Group in Tulcea.
