Microsoft rolls out enhanced sovereign cloud solutions in EU

Business Forum
Tech giant Microsoft announced the expansion of its European Digital Commitments with comprehensive Microsoft sovereign cloud solutions.

The new offerings directly address the growing demand for data privacy and operational autonomy under European law.

The sovereign public cloud ensures that all data remains within Europe's geographical boundaries, governed exclusively by European law, with operations and access managed by European personnel.

For organizations requiring more specialized environments, the sovereign private cloud facilitates critical collaboration, communication, and virtualization services within dedicated infrastructures.

Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini Group, said: "The launch of Microsoft sovereign cloud marks a pivotal moment in empowering European institutions and industries with the control, compliance and innovation they need to thrive in today's digital economy."

These solutions are fortified by new features such as data guardian, external key management, and regulated environment management, all aimed at enhancing data protection and ensuring compliance with European regulations.
