Bittnet Systems secures major public sector IT contract

Business Forum
Bittnet Systems has announced that its subsidiary, Dendrio Solutions, has signed a significant framework agreement with a public sector client.

The contract, valued at up to RON 143 million (€28.7 million), is for the supply of IT equipment.

The agreement, which is a framework contract, does not obligate the client to order the maximum value of products but sets the potential ceiling for future orders over the implementation period.

The project's scope includes the delivery, installation, testing, and knowledge transfer for hybrid storage and back-up solutions to expand the client's IT capacity.

The implementation is set to span 36 months from the signing of the agreement.

IT sector hits 15-year demand low in Bucharest office market

Demand for office space in Bucharest dropped by one-third in 2025, primarily due to reduced activity from IT companies, which generated only 10% of total leasing in the first nine months - the lowest level since 2010. Companies leased approximately 150,000 sqm of office space, while new demand fell by almost 30% to under 60,000 sqm.
