Electro-Alfa closes oversubscribed IPO early

Business Forum
Electro-Alfa International announced the early closure of its Initial Public Offer (IPO) for the sale of up to 65.9 million newly issued shares.

The offer represents approximately 35% of the total number of issued shares and was running from 2 February 2026 based on the prospectus approved by the Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA).

The public offer was oversubscribed on both the institutional investors' tranche and the retail investors' tranche, leading to the decision to close early at the end of the trading session on 6 February 2026. The decision was made together with the intermediaries involved in the offer, SSIF Swiss Capital and UniCredit Bank. At the date of this announcement, the retail tranche is oversubscribed by approximately 5800%, a figure estimated before the BVB closure.

"The increased interest in our offer confirms the capital market's confidence in our business model and in Electro-Alfa International's development strategy. We are grateful to investors for their interest and we view the listing as an important step in consolidating our position on the regional market. It is a milestone in our company's evolution and a unique moment for Romania's capital market, with Electro-Alfa International being the first company to close its offer early in the recent history of the Bucharest Stock Exchange," says George Ciubotaru, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Electro-Alfa International.

Following the early closure, the calendar of subsequent operations includes: allocation announcement on 9 February 2026, transaction date on 10 February 2026, and settlement date on 12 February 2026. The funds obtained from the IPO will be used primarily for expanding production capacities, investments in technology and digitalisation, developing the product and services portfolio, and supporting expansion in international markets.

Electro-Alfa International shares will be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange main market under the ticker symbol EAI, with an estimated listing date of 3 March.
