The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is supporting Romania's energy security by arranging a €192 million financing package for three new solar power plants of Nofar Energy, with a total installed capacity of 531 MW in south-eastern Romania.
Nofar Energy, a renewable energy investor listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, has signed an EPC turnkey and O&M contract for a 265 MW photovoltaic power plant in Corbii Mari.
The project is adjacent to another solar plant that Nofar Energy has previously bought from the same seller.
The proceeds will be used, among others, for the development, construction, and operation of two solar photovoltaic plants in Giurgiu County, with a combined capacity of 315 MW.
