APIA: European Commission has officially reimbursed €1.12 billion to Romania

The European Commission has officially reimbursed Romania €1.12 billion in funds from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF), announces the Romanian Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA).

”In accordance with the EAGF expenditure declaration, submitted by the Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture (APIA) to the European Commission, on January 7, 2025, European funds representing reimbursements from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) in the amount of €1.12 billion were transferred to the Romanian state accounts,” shows a statement issued by the institution.

This amount represents the countervalue of the funds used from the state budget by APIA, in the period October 16–November 30, 2024, for the granting of advance payments to farmers for the 2024 Campaign and payments for market measures, external trade and promotion of agricultural products.
