SAP Romania, the local subsidiary of the global leader in software solutions, SAP SE, announces the achievement of an important milestone in its national evolution - surpassing the number of 1000 employees. This milestone marks not only a benchmark in numerical evolution, but also a significant leap in the company's ability to support the digital transformation of its customers.

Founded on April 1, 2002, with an initial nucleus of just five employees in Bucharest, SAP Romania has evolved steadily over more than two decades of activity, becoming a key entity within SAP. Since 2005, when it obtained the status of a Romanian legal entity with foreign capital, the company has experienced accelerated growth, expanding its presence in two other locations in addition to the Bucharest office: in 2011 in Timișoara and in 2012 in Cluj-Napoca. Also in 2023, SAP launched SAP Labs Site in Bucharest, part of the regional SAP Labs SEE Hub.

Currently, the central office in Bucharest is home to 654 employees, the Timisoara office has 270 specialists and the Cluj-Napoca office has 124, with an average age of 35.5 years. Of these, 46% are women. Last year, the SAP Romania team grew by about 18% compared to the previous year, thus consolidating the company's position as a top player in the local market and a center of excellence in the SAP network.

"Surpassing the 1,000-employee threshold is a significant milestone for SAP Romania and a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our local team. It not only underlines the commitment we have to the market, but also strengthens our ability to support our customers' digital transformation. We are proud to be a catalyst for innovation and a contributor to the technology ecosystem both in Romania and in numerous countries globally, and as our work continues, we remain steadfast in our mission to improve people's lives through our innovations," said Diana David, Managing Director SAP Romania.

SAP Romania plays an important strategic role in the company's global activities. The local subsidiary is home to some of the strongest Service Delivery and Managed Cloud Applications teams in Europe and one of the best Cloud Migration teams in the world, and the competencies of the Romanian teams in areas such as AI, Data Science, Business Data Cloud, Business Processes and Business Technology Platform are internationally recognized. With more than 1000 employees, SAP Romania is currently delivering projects and delivering value to customers worldwide.

In order to achieve its goals in the local market, the company collaborates with more than 20 companies in the SAP partner ecosystem in Romania, specialized in selling and implementing the entire portfolio of solutions. Looking to the future, the company remains committed to excellence and innovation, determined to maintain its position as a technology leader and continue to support the digital transition of businesses worldwide.
