Business Forum
The company Retele Electrice Romania launches through the public procurement information system (SEAP), the procurement procedure for works worth RON 77.89 million for a project to modernize the energy infrastructure located in the communes of Stefan cel Mare, Perisoru and Borcea, in Calarasi County.

The project aims to reconfigure, modernize and increase the capacity of the Perișoru overhead medium-voltage power line by replacing the conductor and undergrounding the line over a length of about 35 km. The project also covers the modernization of about 50 km of low voltage networks as well as the installation of fiber optics to ensure an efficient and fast operation of the SCADA remote control system.

As part of the project, 11 transformer substations will be upgraded, of which 9 will be moved from poles to new concrete envelopes, and two transformer substations in masonry will be relocated to the public domain. Six new transformer substations and three connection points will also be installed, all in concrete tires.  All these works are aimed at replacing the equipment with state-of-the-art ones, installing remote control equipment and will lead to an increase in the continuity of supply, as well as to an increase in distribution capacity in the area.

The connections for over 2,500 consumers in the localities of Stefan cel Mare and Perișoru will be upgraded, meaning that the metering groups will be removed at the property boundary and the associated subscriber columns will be rebuilt.

The implementation of the project has the benefits of increasing the security of energy supply and minimizing the effects of consumption on the environment by reducing CO2 emissions while reducing losses.

The project has a total value of RON 81.3 million, excluding VAT, and is co-financed by the Modernization Fund with a maximum amount of RON 57 million.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is March 18th, 2025, and the works will last 25 months from the conclusion of the contract.
