EU funding awarded for two solar projects in Romania

Business Forum
Two financing contracts, totalling RON 233 million (€46.7 million), for local green energy production have been signed, announced the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja.

"This is a clear example of how a partnership between the state and the business environment can function well, where there is seriousness, know-how, and trust from investors," stated Burduja.

Through the company Termoficare Oradea, local authorities are investing in a photovoltaic park with a 10MW capacity and a 15 MWh storage unit.

The second project, originating from the private sector, involves Gura Solar Plant, which will construct a 74 MW photovoltaic park with a 10.16 MWh storage component.

The total investment for this project exceeds RON 139 million (€27.9 million), of which over RON 12 million (€2.4 million) comprises non-reimbursable funds, with the remainder covered by the investor.
