Business Forum
Engie Romania has completed its sixth photovoltaic park, with a capacity of  37.2 MWp, located in Ariceștii Rahtivani, Prahova County.

Spanning 57 ha, the solar park is projected to generate an estimated 57 GWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to the yearly consumption of over 31,000 households.

The investment increases Engie Romania's total installed renewable energy capacity to 248 MW.

Cristian Buzan, Deputy General Manager of Engie Romania, stated, "This project strengthens our position in the Romanian market, which possesses significant potential in the field of renewable energies, and also helps us achieve our goal of having an installed green energy production capacity of 1,000 MW by 2030."

The company's local renewable portfolio includes three wind farms with a capacity of 178 MW and six photovoltaic parks totaling 70.3 MWp strategically located across the country.

In 2024, Engie Romania expanded its portfolio by acquiring an 80 MW operational wind farm and developing its first hybrid plant, combining wind and solar sources, with a total capacity of 57 MW.
