Energy group PPC has launched a fast-charging solution that operates on 100% renewable energy.

PPC blue Power BOX is the first charging solution in the PPC blue network that is powered directly from a photovoltaic park. Located on DN5 / E70 in the vicinity of Uzunu, the station is available for all electric vehicle users free of charge.

The innovative solution includes a built-in energy storage system and draws its power exclusively from the PPC Renewables Romania photovoltaic park in Călugăreni.

The fast-charging station has a power output of 150 kW and can charge two vehicles simultaneously. The storage system has a capacity of 250 kWh, ensuring it is ready to meet user needs 24/7.

Andreea-Dana Popescu, Director of PPC Blue Romania, said: "Electric mobility is the link between production, storage and the consumer. We are already exploring the extension of this model to other areas in Romania, as part of our vision to build a charging network in harmony with the environment and that meets the needs of the future."

PPC blue customers can use the "Plug & Charge" system, which allows for automatic charging simply by connecting the cable. The location of the Power BOX can be viewed in the PPC blue app.

In Romania, PPC blue operates over 750 charging points in all counties, with a total installed capacity of over 21 MW. The company provides integrated electric mobility solutions to a range of clients, including residential customers, companies, and public institutions. In 2024, drivers who used PPC blue stations travelled a combined total of 10.5 million km.
