Rompetrol Rafinare amends $600 million syndicated loan

Business Forum
Rompetrol Rafinare has announced the signing of an amendment to a syndicated loan agreement, with a value of up to $600 million.

The loan, originally concluded in April 2023, was previously amended last June. The purpose of the new amendment, signed on September 18, is to change the margin levels for Facility A and Facility B under the Facilities Agreement.

The syndicated loan was arranged by BCR, which acted as Coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger, Bookrunner, Documentation, Guarantees, and Payments Agent, in addition to being a lender.

Other participating banks include ING Bank N.V. (through its Amsterdam - Bucharest Branch), Raiffeisen Bank, UniCredit Bank, Alpha Bank Romania, Garanti Bank, BT, Vseobecna Üverova Banka, and Banca Comercială Intesa Sanpaolo Romania.

The financial institutions were assisted by the international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang, through its Bucharest office.

In addition to Rompetrol Rafinare, the amendment was concluded together with KMG International and other companies within the Group, namely KMG Rompetrol and Rompetrol Downstream.
