Symmetrica gears up to complete €50 million factory in Romania

Business Forum
Symmetrica, a local manufacturer of vibrated pressed paving stones and kerbstones, is preparing to complete its new factory in Bolintin Vale, Giurgiu County, this summer, following an investment of approximately €50 million.

The new facility will be the largest concrete paving and flagstone factory in Symmetrica's network and in South-Eastern Europe.

The Bolintin Vale factory already has three of its four production lines operational, and it is set to become fully operational this summer, upon the completion of works and the installation of the fourth line.

With an area of 18,000 sqm, the new factory will have a daily capacity of 15,000 sqm, which will lead to a 30% increase in the company's total output.

In addition to state-of-the-art production lines, the factory will also be equipped with machinery for special treatments, surface processing, and concrete block splitting.

Energy efficiency will be ensured by two solar parks, which will cover approximately 60% of the factory's energy consumption.

Sebastian Bobu, Symmetrica's Executive Director, stated: “Despite the challenges in the residential sector, we are seeing a clear trend towards higher quality products, with consumers becoming increasingly attentive to durability, aesthetics, and innovation”.

Last year, the company reported a turnover of RON 317 million (€63.7 million), marking a 22% increase compared to 2023.
