Romcim buys two production facilities in Romania

Business Forum
Romcim, a CRH company, has further solidified its position in the Romanian construction industry by acquiring two concrete production facilities from BCC Agregate Betoane.

The newly acquired stations, located in Miroslava and Iași, will enable Romcim to more effectively address the growing market demand in the Moldova region.

The acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to better serve its customers' needs, spanning residential, non-residential, and major infrastructure developments.

"As proximity is a key element in the construction industry, we are glad that these two concrete production facilities will help us to address effectively our customer's projects in northeastern Romania and accelerate the adoption of innovative solutions, such as CEVO, our range of concrete and cement with lower CO₂ emissions," said Frederic Aubet, Managing Director of Romcim.

The CRH group of companies in Romania is a significant player in the local construction sector, employing over 2,600 people across its various business lines.

With 52 units nationwide, the group operates through companies including Romcim, Elpreco, Ferrobeton, Baulemente, Sapphire, and TehnoWorld.
