Carrefour Romania's CIO joins Executive Committee

Gabriela Stănică, the current Chief Information Officer, Digital & AI, will join the executive leadership team of Carrefour Romania as of June 1.

Stănică has over 20 years of experience in the IT sector. She joined Carrefour Romania in October 2020 and has since been responsible for the company's digital transformation, the modernization of its IT infrastructure, and the coordination of innovation initiatives.

In her new role, she will also oversee initiatives in artificial intelligence, contributing to the development and integration of digital solutions across Carrefour Romania.

“As part of Carrefour's strategy, my main goal is to further develop a strong digital retail company that will consistently bring relevant innovations to the market,” said Stănică.

Carrefour Romania is currently testing AI applications in various areas to better anticipate consumer needs and adapt to market dynamics.
