Business Forum
Kärcher has officially inaugurated its third factory in Romania, located in Curtea de Argeș, through its local production subsidiary, CER Cleaning Equipment.

The plant was opened following an investment of €115 million and marks a strategic move to bolster Kärcher's operations and production capabilities in Europe.

The new facility spans 15,000 sqm of production space, bringing Kärcher's total manufacturing footprint in Romania to over 60,000 sqm.

CER 3 will focus on producing professional floor cleaning machines, as well as components and accessories for Kärcher vacuum cleaners, including bags and motors.

The factory will also integrate the production of turbines and fleece filters for household vacuum cleaners for the first time.

"The inauguration of our CER 3 factory marks an important day for Kärcher and a clear commitment to our presence in Romania," stated Hartmut Jenner, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management of the Kärcher Group. "Through this expansion, we are strengthening our production competence for wet and dry vacuum cleaners, professional dry vacuum cleaners, and floor cleaning machines in Europe."

The new plant utilizes rotomoulding technology for large plastic parts and includes dedicated laboratories for testing professional floor cleaning machines.

This expansion is set to support a greater integration of the local supply chain and create new employment opportunities within the community.
