TikTok tops 9 million active users in Romania

Over 200 million people across Europe now use the Chinese-owned video app TikTok every month, an increase of 14% from the previous year. Of the total value, the platform currently has 9.1 million monthly active users in Romania.

Millions of businesses throughout Europe are already leveraging the platform. From small entrepreneurs to global brands, TikTok's recommendation system helps businesses connect with new customers.

Marlene Masure, General Manager of Content Operations for Europe, said, "As our community grows, so does the economic, cultural, and social impact that TikTok brings to Europe's rich ecosystem."

Experts from Oxford Economics found that the activity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on TikTok contributed €4.8 billion to the economies of Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium, supporting more than 51,000 jobs.
