MedLife invests over €2 million in robotic neurosurgery system

Business Forum
MedLife Group has implemented an advanced integrated robotic neurosurgery system at MedLife Polisano Hospital in Sibiu, following an investment of over €2 million.

The new 360-degree technological infrastructure integrates robotics, neuronavigation, intraoperative imaging and neuromonitoring in a single ecosystem dedicated to cranial and spinal surgery.

"Investments in advanced technology represent a strategic direction for the development of MedLife Polisano Hospital and for consolidating its position as a reference centre in neurosurgery," said Ștefan Lungu, Director of MedLife Polisano Hospital Sibiu. "Through this integrated infrastructure, we have the possibility to address cases with a high degree of complexity and facilitate patient access to therapeutic solutions aligned with current standards from major European medical centres, but at much more accessible costs."

The technology functions like a GPS system used in cranial and spinal surgery, allowing doctors to visualise anatomical structures in real time and track surgical instruments with submillimetre precision towards target areas.
