Business Forum
Eurowind Energy, the Danish developer and operator of renewable energy projects, is investing €174.8 million in a new solar park in Vișina, Dâmbovița County.

The project, with an installed capacity of 220 MW, is set to become the company's largest in Romania and one of the biggest nationwide.

Once operational, it is projected to generate approximately 400 GWh of renewable electricity annually, which is equivalent to the yearly consumption of around 150,000 households.

Adrian Dobre, Country Manager Romania at Eurowind Energy, said: "We are a committed player with solid long-term plans for Romania and a local pipeline of around 7.5 GW at various stages of development. The Vișina project is a significant milestone for us – we've been working on it for several years, and we're excited to see it moving closer to the construction phase."

Vișina marks Eurowind Energy's fifth solar project in Romania, adding to its existing developments in Hălchiu, Măgurele, Pufești, and Teiuș.

By the end of 2025, the company anticipates operating a local portfolio of 124 MW. Its development pipeline includes solar, wind, hybrid, and storage solutions.
