PPC Blue charging network tops 1,100 points in Romania

Business Forum
PPC Blue, part of the PPC Group in Romania, has reached over 1,100 charging points this year, doubling its network from the previous year. More than half of these are fast and ultra-fast charging stations, making it one of Romania's most extensive electric vehicle charging networks.

"We have shifted to a more balanced distribution between AC and DC stations, with DC now exceeding 50% of the grid. Our goal is to redefine what accessibility means in electric mobility by empowering people to charge where they live, work and travel," said Andreea-Dana Popescu, General Manager of PPC Blue Romania.

In 2025, drivers using PPC Blue stations travelled more than 12 million kilometres, with an average consumption of 0.20 kWh per km. These charging sessions contributed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 1,945 tonnes per year.

PPC Blue operates charging points across all Romanian counties, with a total installed power exceeding 36 MW. The company offers integrated electric mobility solutions to residential, corporate and public institution customers nationwide. In 2026, investments will focus on densifying the charging network in retail areas, business districts and tourist zones, developing balanced infrastructure with both fast transit stations and AC charging in residential areas, and integrating green energy and storage solutions.
