Pleso Therapy raises $1.2 million for European expansion

Pleso Therapy startup, the developer of a mental health app, has raised $1.2 million to bolster its European presence.

The funding round attracted prominent investors, including TA Ventures Vchasno.Group, with notable contributions from Ukrainian boxing world champion Oleksandr Usyk, and BADIdeas Fund from the Baltic region.

The platform has seen rapid adoption, with over 50,000 Romanians accessing it in just three months. 

Currently, 60 therapists in Romania provide services through Pleso, catering to approximately 1,000 active patients. 

Oleksandr Bondariev, CEO and Co-Founder of Pleso Therapy, said: “With our successful investment round, we'll leverage our partners' expertise and resources to accelerate expansion across Europe, including Romania, where we aim to become one of the leading online therapy platforms."

In Romania, Pleso is strengthening its B2B offerings and is exploring the launch of a local R&D center.

The platform currently operates in Poland, Romania, and Ukraine.
